Review: The must have book to pass your NCLEX. I regretted I didn't purchase and don't know about this book. I took my first NCLEX and failed with 265q. For my first NCLEX i did saunders questions.Saunders questions were way to easy not close to actual NCLEX. After that during my preparation to retake my NCLEX. I searched for another NCLEX books and I found this. I read the review from amazon and got a good review so why don't give it a shot. The questions are high level questions which are the questions that you want to practice to keep you in passing level. Love this book. It helped me to think critically which is crucial to success in your NCLEX. The questions are harder than actual NCLEX. When I took my second NCLEX , i felt the questions were easier than this book so I have no problem to answer NCLEX and I passed with 75Q. I also like how the book put the alternate format questions other than multiple choice. Because you have to used to this type of questions. if you don't have time to finish the book just make sure to do all the practice test at the back of the book. Those questions were very helpful for me during my NCLEX. Overall great books much better than saunders. Must have to pass NCLEX. From 265Q to 75Q and passed because of this book.

Review: This book was hands-down the best resource I used to prepare for the NCLEX. Lots of people were getting the Kaplan, but due to the cost and emphasis on strategy, I decided to go a different route and ended up getting the Lippincott instead. The questions are consistently high-quality, and very similar to what you'll see on the actual test. Make sure you study FAITHFULLY from this book (and I mean at least 70-100 questions a night-- start jacking it up to 150-200 near test day), even though your scores will shatter your confidence a little bit, haha. That's what it's designed to do- keep you on your toes and get you used to answering the kinds of questions that will be expected of you--- especially if you are above the passing line!

Thousands of questions come with the book, and it can be exhausting sometimes, especially when your scores do not seem to reflect the kind of work that you're putting in (my scores were consistently in the high-60s/low-70s), but it will increase your mental endurance and REALLY prepare you for the test. I just passed the NCLEX on my first try with 75 questions, and I can't think of any resource that was more valuable to me than this book right here.

Review: I want to thank this book for helping me pass NCLEX. I took my test Dec 3rd and the test stopped me at 75 questions. My heart sank I was so sure I failed. Today I found out I passed all thanks to this book. I didn't even have time to finish this book. I got through maternity and half of med serg. I made sure to do all six comprehensive tests. I did one each day leading up to the day of my test. I used Saunders at first but I felt the questions were way too easy so I switched over to Lippincott. I didn't use any other study material and I refused to spend all that money on Kaplan. Advice I do want to throw out there is make sure you know all your lab values, focus on questions about prioritizing clients, know what types of contact isolations for what disease process, and make sure to check out YouTube for videos on test strategies which I did and I found extremely helpful on the day of my test. I highly recommend this book and I wish good luck to everyone preparing for the NCLEX!

Review: I bought the kindle version, and read the product information clearly. No where in the product information does it state the CD is not included or available. I just paid 40.00 for this book and I would like to have the cd rom that it clearly states comes with the kindle version, I would even pay shipping. The cd rom had 1300 additional questions, which is why I bought this book via kindle. The publisher could give a web site to go and download the information would be sufficient. Anything is helpful, but just no cd- when it is not stated that the kindle version does not have access to the cd or the material on it. There are other books similar to this by this author as well as others that clearly state the cd does not come with electronic purchase. Disappointing, but at least the information was made clear before purchase.

Review: The layout of this book is outstanding....it is divided up by topic instead of just a jumble of questions. I'm currently still a few months out from graduation and taking the NCLEX but I am using it as supplemental practice questions for my current classes. The rationales are great, and while it doesn't tell you the exact rationales as to why the other answers are wrong it does provide a summary. It also came with a CD that included 5000 more NCLEX questions, which I am saving for my NCLEX prep. I am a fan of this book and I also have let a few others in my nursing class borrow it to look at and review. If you can only buy one NCLEX book - this is it. I am a HUGE fan of this book and I also have a few Saunder's books and the Davis Success books as well. Its great!

Review: I used this book to prepare for the NCLEX-RN. It is VERY detailed. The rationales are long and very good at helping you to critically think. They were tiring to read but it was all worth it since I passed my exam in 75 questions. (I failed the first time with 76 questions and I did not own this book). I used this book (did about 150 questions per day), Kaplan's Qbank and Saunders Comprehensive review also...I made sure I tied up any loose ends. My scores in this book were in the 60s and to be honest I felt like a huge failure seeing these kinds of scores. Don't worry too much about that. Read the rationales to get your thinking in order..that is important and that is the ultimate goal. While there are indeed some errors, it was easy for me to look past them. Get this book and study your tush off! It'll be worth it.
